Generation and delivery

• The exact generation prompt was saved to script/logs/daily-ai-news-collage/gemini-prompt_8-3-26.txt for fallback reuse.
• The built-in generator rendered twice, but the required post-run ig_*.png cache query returned no file after either render because this session persisted nonstandard exec-*.png names.
• The current Codex session transcript was decoded with codex_extract_images.py; the last extracted render was selected and verified as a genuine 3,094,901-byte PNG at exactly 1024 × 1536.
• Commit/push result: Succeeded. Initial artifact commit 345421dc (Add daily news collage for 2026-08-03) was pushed directly to origin/mike_desktop before email delivery.

Issues

• The selected render has all six requested square panels, readable and correctly spelled primary captions, the correct timestamp, clean borders, a detailed editorial style, and no recognizable real-person likenesses.
• The model added a few incidental in-world details beyond the six primary captions, including small market percentages and map/sign labels, plus a small bird symbol on the diplomacy telephone. These do not obscure the required story text.
• Direct cache persistence used a nonstandard filename, so session-transcript recovery was required. Gemini fallback was not used.
